What is the original Way of St. James?
The “Camino de Santiago” has been declared Cultural Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO. Since the second half of the 20th century it has lived a new international rebirth that combines its traditional, spiritual and socio-cultural heritage with the power of tourist attraction and a new, open meeting place for all types of people and cultures.
Nowadays, with the Camino de Santiago a plethora of possibilities, regarding the people that travel through it, open to all types of discoveries and efforts. It is a such an enriching experience that its lessons become hard to forget. The pilgrims are marked by a variety of cultures, atmospheres, ages, and personal situations; the “Camino de Santiago” attracts people of all classes and conditions, young ones and elders, sick or healthy, devoted or atheist, but the nature of the pilgrimage itself, the conditions in which you establish contact with them, gives way to social barriers disappearing and the most we taste the most passionate experience we can live: “the personal encounter with other pilgrims”, a truly meaningful encounter; solidarity without even trying.
Our intention is to disseminate these experiences to individuals throughout the entire world who have been intrigued by the thought of living an unforgettable experience but that for a number of reasons haven’t dared to do it.
