Who can do the Camino?

Is physical preparation necessary?
It would be nice! It is convenient to train before starting the Camino. The best way to prepare is walking two hours a day for at least two weeks before going on the Camino. In the case of any inconvenience, the support vehicle will always be available if a person cannot continue walking.
How many 'Caminos' or 'ways' are there?
There are a number of 'Caminos' that reach Santiago de Compostela: The North Way, the French Way, the Primitive Way, the English Way, the Vía de Plata Way, and the Portuguese Way. The French Way has the most historical importance and is the most recognized worldwide.
What is the 'Compostela' certificate?
It is the document, in Latin, that certifies the completion of the pilgrimage to Santiago. In order to receive it it is required to have covered 100 kilometers by foot, or 200 kilometers on bicycle or horse.
What is the 'Credencial'?
The 'credential' is the document that identifies us as pilgrims. It is the pilgrim record with which we are able to prove we have done the Camino to then be able to receive the Compostela Certificate. It is obtained before starting the Camino and must be stamped duly along the way.
What clothing should I take?
We will provide a list of the recommended clothing according to the date you decide to do the Camino.
Must I carry a backpack?
All baggage can be transferred from accommodation to accommodation by the support vehicle. For the actual walking only a small backpack is required in order to carry personal documents (Identification, credit card, money, etc.), water, a camera, the credential, and a pair of socks.
What if I get tired?
The support vehicle will be of service along the entire route to cover any needs the pilgrims may have. This applies if the pilgrim is too tired to walk, if any physical or health problems arise, or if simply the pilgrim does not want to walk any longer.
How are the accommodations?
They are very charming rural houses that provide the comfort of a four-star hotel. They have private bathrooms in each room. It is possible to have a private room by paying an additional fee.
Where and when do we eat?
Lunch is set to take place after completing he daily stage. The guide will take you to the places where you will have a variety of men options. Lunches are not included in the majority of our tours but is it possible to have lunch starting from 5€ . The same applies for the dinners that are not included. The support vehicle will be equipped with drinks and snacks.
Will the guide walk with us?
The guide does not walk with the group, given that it is not necessary, unless the group requests it beforehand for some reason. The guide will hand you the daily itinerary each morning. Here you will find the details of the daily walk, pointing out the places we will walk through. The Camino, or the Way is perfectly indicated, be it by yellow arrows along the way, signs, milestones, etc. During the stage there will be meeting points with the guide and support vehicle.
Does the group walk together?
No, each person should walk at his/her own rhythm and enjoy it his/her own way.
What will do after finishing the daily stage?
We will go eat and then to the hotel. After resting we will visit certain places of interest around the area for the people that have interest in doing so.
How do we return to Madrid?
If any of our pilgrims wish to return to Madrid, the best option is by airplane. There is an array of options, times and airlines. It is also possible by train or bus which takes much longer..
